Jamie Lynn Spears was being stalked

Photographer Edwin W. Merino is scheduled to appear in court next week after being arrested for stalking Jamie Spears and her fiance in Liberty, Mississippi. He was apprehended while he was 200 feet away from the couple taking pictures of them with a long lens. The police took him to three ATM’s to get money to post his $1,143 bail. Merino said he was the only one shooting Jamie which was why he was singled out and at the end of the day, he didn’t even get any worthwhile shots (Edwin was one of the photogs who brought us Britney’s vadge).

“The one picture I got was kind of by luck,” he said. “I got lucky when I saw them at Wal-Mart when I was buying deodorant.”

You sort of wonder why more celebrities don’t move to rural towns in the South to escape the paparazzi. Then you realize these guys are in a symbiotic relationship with each other. If celebrities don’t hear the click-click-click of a camera at least once a day, they might shrivel up and die and if paparazzi don’t photograph a celebrity once a day, they might need to get jobs or something.
