The coveted crown has been sought after since the 1920’s. Young ladies compete in a long list of competitions just to earn the right to have a chance at the crown.
When Miss America is selected she is given a full scholarship to the University of her Choice. The new crown holder’s runner ups are also granted the full scholarship. The crown holds a position of prestige and honor for each young lady that gets chosen as Miss America.
The previous Coveted Crown holder gets the privilege of presenting the next Miss America with her new crown. Each crown holder is in her position as Miss America for one year. Millions of young ladies each year have the desire in their hearts to hold the Miss America title. The Coveted Crown has been envied by many young ladies since their childhood. To actually achieve this honor would be an experience of a lifetime.
